Leah Abrams (Senior JCSC Fellow) started her first year in Pittsburgh in August, 2001. Leah attended Temple University and graduated with her Bachelors of Social Work. Leah can usually be found on the Pitt campus, engaging students and feeding her caffeine habit while encouraging it in others! Some of her special Hillel/JUC programs involve women in Judaism, Jewish Freshmen, and social action projects.
Dan Lewinter (Senior JCSC Fellow) arrived at the JUC in September of 2002 after a year as a JCSC Fellow at Tel Aviv University Hillel and another year in Israel on Project Otzma. Dan grew up in Pittsburgh and attended Kent State University, where he studied Art History and Glassblowing. Dan is a creative and artistic individual and musician who is also a gym junkie and a die hard Pittsburgh Steelers fan.
Daniel Marcus (Senior Jewish Student Life Director) is a British-Israeli Pittsburgher who has worked at the JUC since July 2001. Daniel has worked with a variety of Jewish educational groups and institutions and brings to the JUC a unique British accent. Daniel is available to discuss programs, personal needs or just for a joke and a chat any time.
Linda Myers (Development Director) is the most recent addition to the staff. Linda is a native of Florida, but who has made Pittsburgh her home. More information to come.
Caleb Deitch (the Future Senior JCSC Fellow for Pitt Hillel) will be moving to Pittsburgh in August. He is currently the JCSC Fellow at the San Fransisco Hillels. I am very excited Caleb is coming to Pittsburgh, not only because he is a great guy, but because he and I went to Temple University together.
